Skriverier

To nye sange

De to færdige tekster, [cref No-Vitals] og [cref Hide-in-Your-Dreams] kommer her:

No vitals

I like the view from your bed
A lopsided shoe peeking out from the wreck
Of your favorite dress left
Crumbled on the floor

I raise my head
To realise
You’re not there
Something’s not right
Burning in water is like drowning in flame

All alone – we die as we sleep
Alone – we die as we sleep

I trace my steps through the house
Towards the light at the end of the hall
There is a restless sound
of falling water

Push open the door to find you gone
An open wrist
Blood on the floor
Your lipstick message cuts like a knife
It hurt too much for too long

All alone – we die as we sleep
Alone – we die as we sleep

Keep breathing … Keep breathing
Keep breathing … Keep breathing

Someone touches me asks for your name
How come you’re here? Did I call for help?
Is that blood on the phone?
This can’t be happening this can’t be happening this can’t be happening
Keep breathing
There’s nothing we can do for
Keep breathing
Let’s give him a little space
Keep breathing
Please follow me, sir, we need to ask you a couple of questions

Hide in Your Dreams

Light a flame beneath a spoon
In the cold comfort of a naked room
Tiny crystals liquefy
You cut the vein to kiss the sky
So this your redemption?
This is your redemption, is it?

She walks in beauty like the night
A broken doll, a cancelled flight
Dead weight crashing down her spine
The drug that failed to make her shine
In a lonely lifetime
Of giving head to strange guys

Hide in your dreams … hide in your dreams … hide in your dreams of escape

(Female News Anchor)
The body of a young woman was found yesterday evening in an
abandoned factory building in south-east Sheffield. Police investigations
confirm that the body belongs to 20-year old Sarah W. who was
reported missing from her home some eight months ago.
The cause of death appears to be an overdose of drugs. Preliminary
investigations at the scene do not indicate that the 20-year
old is victim of any crime. Sarah W’s family has been notified of her death.

Collapsing like a house of cards
Memories half torn apart
Afraid to shoot a second glance
At desperate days of drink and dance
So this is your redemption?
This is your redemption, is it?

Hide in your dreams … hide in your dreams … hide in your dreams to escape
